It turns out that if you've been using a commercial deodorant for years, you may need to detox your armpits before switching to a natural deodorant.
Other signs that it might be time for an armpit detox…you rely heavily on antiperspirants and/or deodorants, you have a strong body odor even when wearing deodorant, your armpits are itchy, irritated, or bumpy.
Why do you need to switch to a natural deodorant?
Commercial deodorants use chemicals to prevent our armpits from doing what they are naturally suppose to do! These chemicals do not just sit on the skin in the armpit, but are absorbed into the body. So, not only are we not sweating out toxins, we are adding toxic burden to our body!
What will an armpit detox do?
Break the skin’s reliance on antiperspirants
Cleanse the surface of the skin
Calm irritation and inflammation
Lessen excessive sweating
